Software training and resources are available to our scholars, and the Center offers access to cutting-edge tools for big data population research. These services include training on how to access and utilize virtual computing and how to use the open source statistical programming language R. CPHA also provides access to genetic and network software and analysis tools; data access through Duke’s Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) and Triangle Data Center (TRDC); and secure data management through Duke's Office of Research Initiatives. Director for Computational Resources, Mark Yacoub, leads the tool and resource customization for Duke's population research applications.
