One of the most exciting fields in demography is the biodemography of aging. This field explores the complementary biological and demographic determinants of, and interactions between, the developmental and aging processes that shape individuals, cohorts and populations. CPHA is a leader in biodemography in two subareas:

  • Biomedical demography of human aging and longevity
  • Biological demography of nonhuman primate species.
