With a legacy that extends well over four decades, the Duke Center for Population Health and Aging (CPHA) provides a synergistic, interdisciplinary environment for advancing cutting-edge research and cultivating faculty and students focused on the study of Aging.
The Center has three major intellectual commitments in the overlapping areas of Biodemography & Biosocial Demography, Social Disparities in Health across the life-course, and Intergenerational Transmission of Inequality and Health.
CPHA has received continuous funding from the Division of Social and Behavioral Research of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and support from the Duke University and the Provost Office since 2009.
